For more than 20 years, I’ve documented weddings all over the world, capturing genuine moments from the rugged coastline of Maine, the mountains of Acadia, the Faroe Islands, Mexico the Tetons, Montana, and beyond. My approach is rooted in photojournalism: emotional, unscripted, and real. About Me
I’m Chris — a full-time Maine wedding and elopement photographer, outdoor enthusiast, traveler, and believer that the number of adventures we have directly affects our happiness.
I grew up in Maine, playing in the woods behind my parent’s house. My father gave me my first camera when I was 8 or 9. You can also credit my father for letting me go on my first backpacking trip with a friend when I was 13 years old. These experiences shaped who I am today. Before photography became my career, I spent six months living in a tent as a backcountry ranger on the Appalachian Trail. That experience solidified the way I see the world: patient, observant, and deeply connected to nature — qualities that guide how I approach wedding photography
I earned my degree in Photographic Imaging Arts and Sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), concentrating in photojournalism. I minored in Art History and Music. Over the years, my work has been featured in Outside Magazine, Backpacker Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, and Down East Magazine.
Today, I spend my time photographing weddings, elopements, and editorial and commercial assignments across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New England, as well as destination celebrations worldwide.
No trail is too long. No mountain is too high. No destination is too far
I live in the Acadia area withmy partner and our dog in a little house deep in the woods.
