About

If you’re drawn to meaningful experiences, time outdoors, and doing things a little differently, there’s a good chance we’ll get along well.

If you’re drawn to meaningful experiences, time outdoors, and doing things a little differently, there’s a good chance we’ll get along well.

I’m a Maine wedding and adventure elopement photographer, but at my core, I’m someone who cares deeply about people, stories, and moments. I was trained in photojournalism, where the emphasis was on paying attention. On noticing what’s happening beneath the surface and preserving it honestly.

That way of seeing the world still shapes how I photograph weddings today.

I’m naturally calm, observant, and patient. I don’t rush moments or force interactions. Instead, I create space for you to be yourselves, knowing that the real, unscripted moments — the ones you don’t plan — are often the ones that matter most years down the road.

My work focuses on emotion, connection, and storytelling. I care just as much about the quiet moments as the big ones — the way your hands find each other, the look your parents give you when you’re not watching, the laughter that breaks through when the nerves finally fade.

My goal is that years from now, even the friends and loved ones who couldn’t be there will still feel your wedding day through the photographs. Not just how it looked — but how it felt to be there.

I work with couples who value experience over tradition, who aren’t afraid to get their dress a little muddy or feel the wind in their hair, and who want their wedding to reflect who they actually are. That might mean an intimate elopement in Acadia National Park, a relaxed barn wedding in the Maine countryside, a coastal celebration, or a destination wedding somewhere meaningful to you.

There’s no single right way to get married — and I approach every wedding with that mindset.

Where my perspective comes from

  • #map-south-africa

    South Africa

I’ve been to Southern Africa many times. I’ve taken my mother on safari in South Africa and Namibia and tracked lions in Botswana. Namibia in particular hold a special place in my heart for it’s stark, remote beauty.

  • #map-japan

    Japan

Japan’s northern island, Hokkaido, called to me for it’s epic powder skiing. I also spent an intense sleepless 24 hours in the world’s largest city, Tokyo.

  • #map-iceland

    Iceland

This Nordic country is another one of my favorite places to travel to. Iceland's stark landscape, music, and art are a constant source of artistic inspiration for me.

  • #map-denmark

    Denmark

One of my biggest artistic inspirations is the Nordic countries and Scandinavian design. I recently spent time in Denmark and Sweden, immersing myself in their culture of design and visiting as many art museums as possible!

  • #map-tanzania

    Tanzania

I went to Tanzania with a group of Mainers to climb to the roof of Africa, Kilimanjaro!

  • #map-morocco

    Morocco

Morocco was my first international long-distance cycling trip. I rode from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert and back over the course of 10 days.

  • #map-rwanda

    Rwanda

I rode my bike along the Congo Nile Trail, immersing myself in the culture and beauty of this central African country.

  • #map-oman

    Oman

I recently spent a significant amount of time in Oman, first experiencing the people and beauty of the country with my partner, then cycling through the Hajar Mountains with a friend.

  • #map-new-zealand

    New Zealand

Maybe the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, New Zealand is the perfect mix of warm people and stunning landscape. This remote country is a constant source of inspiration.

  • #map-azores

    Azores

I’ve been twice to this beautiful island archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic, the Azores are a quieter, cheaper alternative to Europe. They offer stunning natural beauty and a wonderful place to relax only 5 hours away from the US East Coast.

Before becoming a full-time wedding photographer, I worked as a backcountry ranger on the Appalachian Trail, living in a tent for six months. That experience shaped me in ways I still carry into every wedding day: staying calm under pressure, adapting when plans change, and being comfortable in unpredictable environments.

I’ve spent much of my life traveling — across six continents — and exploring the world slowly. I once rode my bicycle across the country from San Diego to Maine, raising $40,000 for mental health awareness along the way, and I’ve completed long rides through Morocco, Rwanda, and Oman. Travel has taught me how to connect with people quickly, read situations intuitively, and appreciate stories that unfold naturally.

In addition to weddings, I freelance for editorial, commercial, and corporate clients, and my work has been featured in national and regional publications. All of that experience informs how I show up for my couples: prepared, adaptable, and fully present.
